Information About Andrew - Skipton teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Andrew:
I am a professional Italian translator and tutor with many years of experience in both fields. I also work as a GCSE Italian tutor and assessor during exams.
I have spoken Italian for over 30 years, ever since I became interested in languages as a teenager.
I spent 16 years living in Milan where I developed my language skills further and became fluent in the Italian language.
I have various certificates of Italian competence, awarded by the Institute of Linguists, but my real experience comes from the many years I spent living among the Italians, when I was completely submerged in the Italian language and spoke no English at all.
I have been teaching Italian since 2012. I have taught a total of 8 classes and over 150 students. I currently teach 6 classes, 3 of which I have taken from level zero to a conversational standard.
I teach structured Italian grammar which is presented in an easy to understand way. The grammar is combined with unique short stories and articles which contain the grammar you are learning at the time.
Right from the beginning my students spend a lot of time speaking Italian which I correct when required.
As part of the learning experience, I also offer free social and learning events which Enable my students to meet other people who share their interest in the Italain language.
