Personal Description:

¡Hola!

My name is Ana María. I am a native Spanish speaker, graduated from university and certified teacher (Qualified Teacher Status in UK and Spain, Teacher Training for GCSE Spanish from King`s College London, Teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language (accredited by Instituto Cervantes).

Teaching my language and culture is my passion. I love helping my students to achieve their full potential. It is so rewarding to see them improving and making great leaps in their learning process! I am proud and happy to say that all of my GCSE pupils have achieved TOP grades in their Spanish exams.

My students consider me an enthusiastic, fun, friendly and engaging tutor.

Teaching Experience:

I have many years of experience providing private (1:1) lessons to secondary school students in the UK (KS3 & KS4) and adult learners of all levels.

Teaching Approach:

My lessons are entirely student-centred and personalised. I will tailor tuitions to you and your individual requirements.

-KS3 Spanish: regular ongoing lessons to practice and consolidate your class learning.

-KS4 GCSE/IGCSE Spanish: regular ongoing lessons providing you with all the necessary tools to boots your grades. (Edexcel / AQA)

*For KS3-KS4 students, I am happy to liaise with school teachers to identify areas to work on and monitor progress if requested by parents.

-Last minute SPEAKING practice for your upcoming GCSE/IGCSE Spanish exam.

From Annika (5/5): Ana Maria taught our daughter iGCSE Spanish for two years (2 hrs per week during term time). She is a fantastic tutor and taught our daughter Spanish to a level that far exceeded what she would have achieved in a classroom setting. Ana Maria always made the lessons fun (always hearing laughter during the lessons) and interesting. We cannot recommend Ana Maria highly enough and wish her all the best for the future.
