Information About Almudena - Harrow teacher

Personal Description:

I am Almudena, a native Spanish teacher living in London, where I work as a Spanish Language Assistant.

I hold a degree in English studies and also a Master's degree in Secondary Education Teacher. I also have the QTS.

Teaching Experience:

I have more than 7 years of experience as a teacher in the field of Humanities, including English, Spanish, Catalan and Latin. Right now, I work in a high school in London as a Spanish Language Assistant, where I help students improve their skills at Spanish to succeed in their GCSE exams.

I have experience teaching students from different ages and in different environments. I have been teaching in both primary and secondary schools, private language schools and one-to-one lessons. Overall, I have taught students whose ages ranged from 3 to 40 y.o.

Teaching Approach:

My approach to teaching is quite interactive and practical. I believe, and my experience has confirmed it, that to improve in a language you must be exposed to a certain amount of input (that is, to be exposed to the language either by reading or listening) which will make you gain vocabulary and structures to put into practice (that is, to produce your own language either by speaking or writing).

I think there is not one valid universal methodology, but it is more about adapting the teachers' methodology to the students' needs and objectives to make the most of the teaching/learning experience.
