Russian/Italian/English as a foreign language: all ages/all levels/leisure/work/study/exams preparation. I'm a qualified language teacher and an experienced language tutor with a BA (hons) degree in MFL teaching. I was born in Moscow, then moved to Italy with my family. So I speak both languages as a native speaker and I am well familiar with these two different cultures. I am passionate about foreign languages and cultures. I am eager to infuse my students with this passion, help them progress and achieve their objectives. I enjoy teaching to learners of all levels and age groups, attaining whichever goals they pursue: exam preparation, casual/social purposes, business reasons etc. As for exam preparation, I have extensive experience in preparing students for such exams as GCSE/A levels/University exams Italian and Russian, TRKI etc. I am well aware of the demands of intensive coaching. I focus on keeping my students motivated, optimistic and persevering at the same time. I am familiar with a variety of different exam specifications (and keep myself updated). Weekly homework is essential in this case. I am personally interested in my students' progress and success. It is definitely challenging, but rewarding in the end. All of my students obtained the highest grades (A-A*) in the past.
I have over 15 years of experience in MFL teaching to both children and adults, of all ages and levels of language competence. I have been teaching both on a group and one-to-one basis. I have years of experience in preparing for such exams as GCSE, A level, University exams Russian and Italian, TRKI Russian. I love private one-to-one tuition as it enables me to provide personal guidance to each student.
Generally speaking, I apply a task-oriented communicative approach, keeping myself abreast of all the modern language teaching techniques. I teach grammar and vocabulary in context, as students learn easier through real live communication. Everyone is different, so my lessons are specifically tailored and purposefully planned according to my students’ personalities and their needs/objectives/personal interests. I focus on the Russian/Italian actuality and culture during my lessons. It helps keep my students motivated and optimistic. I appreciate the importance of meeting my students’ requirements, so I usually suggest to have an informal conversation prior to starting our lessons. You are very welcome!
