Information About Alana - Abbots Langley teacher

Personal Description:

Salut! I am a final year University Undergraduate studying BA Modern Languages with QTS at Reading University. My languages are French and Spanish and am offering them both for GCSE level. I have just completed my year abroad where I studied at Paul Valery Université in Montpellier, France. Furthermore, I taught at Jesus María, a secondary school in Barcelona, Spain.

I am so passionate about these languages and would love to help students unlock their full potential. I understand and empathise with the pressure students feel from exams as I was there not long ago, but with the right attitude and resources, anything is possible!

Other than academia, my hobbies are playing the piano, acting, and reading.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience teaching students of all ages, as I have worked in 2 secondary schools teaching French and Spanish. I also spent 4 months in Barcelona where I taught in a secondary school and achieved my TEFEL course which gave me lots of creative teaching techniques. This academic year I will gain my QTS and become a qualified teacher. I hold a current DBS certificate.

As I am on placement in a school, I am aware of the current curriculum and resources that are used.

Teaching Approach:

I am a supportive tutor that can adapt my approach according to what best suits you and your learning style. I base my classes around your questions, and topics you need guidance with.
