Personal Description:

I am a compassionate teacher who remains sensitive to the unique learning needs of my students, employs effective listening, provides individual and group support, offers positive encouragement to keep the students focused and motivated. The students’ overall wellbeing is important to me and I encourage an open, honest, communicative and supportive classroom in which each student feels safe, secure and appropriately challenged.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 9 years teaching experience at a University.
Teaching has broadened my horizons from helping people with social problems as a social worker to make a positive contribution through teaching, in the lives of a wide variety of scholars/students from various backgrounds and all facets of society.

Tutoring Approach:

I want to assist and help scholars, students and adults to improve their understanding and mastering of the English language. Learning is an interactive process that continuously challenges my values, beliefs, knowledge, insights, goals and objectives. Learning best took place in the application and transfer of knowledge to “somebody else” and in the process learn, appreciate and respect the cultures, values, beliefs and customs of different nationalities.
