Personal Description:

I am passionate about my subject and thoroughly enjoy it when I can help students. I love life and is a easy-going person. My family is very dear and important to me as well as my friends. I am friendly and care a lot about animals, cats in particular! I always want to see the good in others. I love listening to music, going to the theater and relax with family and friends. Showing respect to others is very important to me.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching for 38 years, Afrikaans First Additional Language, IEB and CAPS. I have been a matric marker for 14 years and Oral Moderator for 8 years. I have taught gr 8 - 12. I was HOD of the subject for 24 years, as well as Cluster Convenor.

Tutoring Approach:

Because I have been teaching for so many years, I have the experience to help the students with typical mistakes they make. One-on-one sessions mean I can help you with your particular problem and help you with the application of the rules. I use work sheets and past papers in my sessions. I help students with the planning of orals and creative writing, which I really enjoy! I analyse the student's tests with them, correcting, explaining and give advise on what they could / should have done.
