Personal Description:

My name is Eduard, but most people call me Ed. I'm passionate about games and game design and can talk anyone's ear off given the chance. I spend most of my time in front of a computer tinkering with software or expanding my knowledge about various subjects. I'm an eternal student and love learning new things.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been involved in a few informal workshops that teach people how to program. During my time as a game developer I would often have conversations with artists and other professionals about math and logic concepts. I would teach anyone that is interested about anything I find interesting.

Tutoring Approach:

In general I tend to favour the Socratic method. That is to say, asking and answering questions to stimulate critical thinking and to draw out ideas and underlying presumptions.

Specifically though I try to find examples and or situations that relate to each student. Things are usually easier to understand and remember if it's based inside an already understood framework. I make an effort to understand my student in an attempt to frame things in an appropriate way.
