Information About Soham - Upper Hutt tutor

Personal Description:

Hi Everyone,
My name is Soham and I’m 2nd year student pursuing a degree in Mechatronics Engineering at UNSW in Sydney. I’ve developed a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and technical problem-solving. I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into simpler, relatable ideas, and I’m passionate about helping others build confidence in subjects they find challenging. When I'm not studying I enjoy going to the gym and playing sports, especially Cricket.

Tutoring Experience:

While I don’t have extensive formal tutoring experience yet, all throughout my academic journey I’ve often helped people understand difficult topics during study sessions. These experiences have shown me how much I enjoy explaining concepts clearly and supporting others in their learning. I'm confident that my strong academic background and enthusiasm for teaching will allow me to be an effective and reliable tutor.

Tutoring Approach:

My tutoring approach is hands-on, tailored, and goal-oriented. I believe that solving problems is the best way to get better. I focus on identifying each student’s unique challenges and adapting my explanations to suit their learning style. I emphasise understanding over memorisation, encouraging students to ask questions and think critically. Whether it's revisiting fundamentals or tackling advanced problems, I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to improve.
