Personal Description:
Hello,
I am a researcher at the Wellington Hospital for 2023 and will go on to continue the rest of my medical school journey from 2024 - 2026. I am Tongan, Tokelauan and Samoan. I am proud of my heritage and grateful to have been born and raised in Palmerston North because of the opportunities available to those who are willing and able to dream big and work towards achieving their goals.
I am the eldest of 3 children and am very blessed to have loving, supportive parents.
Tutoring Experience:
I have tutored Year 9 - Year 13 students of various ethnicities with different learning abilities for 6 - 7 years.
The subjects I tutor include:
- Mathematics (NCEA Level 1 and 2)
- Calculus (NCEA Level 3)
- Science (NCEA Level 1)
- Biology (NCEA Level 2 and 3)
- Physics (NCEA Level 2 and 3)

Tutoring Approach:
I like to be interactive with my tutoring so that I am not just talking the whole time and there is a conversation where the student is learning and reinforcing key concepts and details. I like to start by asking the student a few questions about what they are doing at school etc. I also incorporate resources that are publicly available online into the sessions to provide alternative ways of learning.
