Personal Description:
I work from England through Zoom and can add a new perspective for English and the exams criteria that you have in New Zealand. I have been teaching for many years. I have been a Head of English, Head of Performing Arts and was named Exemplary Teacher Status. I have gained my students distinctions is Drama and set up the the whole school English Department and Performing Arts helping the school to gain the Arts Mark Gold Award together with others.
I have taught Professionals in Banking and Industry how to increase presentational skills and so also help with their speaking skills. This has involved working with young people who have difficulty expressing themselves.
I work with students who are doing iGCSE English Literature and Language and have worked on Common Entrance creative writing skills. This has involved exploring good vocabulary and being creative to gain those extra marks.
My students have gained top grades and distinctions.
I believe that each one of us has the potential to be great. Sometimes it is just lack of confidence that holds us back and I like to encourage my students to believe in their ideas. I am a Mentor and have worked as a Counsellor.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught all ages and have been a Head of English and Performing Arts as well as a Mentor and Elocution Teacher.
I have worked for many years as a Head of Department.I have been a Head of English and Head of Performing Arts.
I have taught those with Autism and those who are gifted and talented as well as those with Speech Impairement.

I have worked with America teaching students from all over the world Internationally.
I have taught linking with the Manhattan School of Music. I am now doing a Masters in Writing and I hope to bring what I learn to my teaching.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to help each student to be the best they can be. Sometimes it is just encouragement and working with a more creative way of writing and drawing. Even drawing a character can help the Language .
Thinking about how Imagery and Rhetoric can be the best if you know and understand. This is a vital part of how I approach this teaching. I like to help my students to be confident and be happy in their learning. Working through technology is great and can be empowering . Wonderful to connect to different cultures.I like to help my students gain
top grades.
