Personal Description:

I have been a New Zealand registered secondar maths teacher since 2010. I worked in an integrated (catholic) school in Auckland teaching secondary mathematics (year 9 to 13). My specialty is calculus. I taught both NCEA (up to level 3) and CIE (up to A/L) schemes. In addition to my classroom teaching, I have tutored mathematics privately since 2007 in Auckland.

Tutoring Experience:

I have more than 7 years of full time classroom teaching experience at secondary level (year 9 to 13) and 16 years of private tutoring experience in Auckland. I have tutored online ( etc.) for couple of years as well. I have a proven track record of producing excellent results. Most of my students have been able to get selected to top university courses in New Zealand as well as abroad.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is as follow.
1. Pre- assessment.
2. Lessons tailored to the skill level/ knowledge of the student and other requirements of the student.
3. More focus on the student understanding.
4. Using the best examples for each topic
5. Revision using past exam questions
6. Regular testing and feedback.
