Personal Description:
I was educated in New Zealand (BSc(Hons) from the University of Canterbury) and the USA (PhD in chemistry from the University of California (Davis)). My doctoral research was on the immunostimulatory properties of RNA therapeutics. After graduating, I worked as a post-doctoral research scientist at the University of Oxford, the University of Tokyo, and the University of Queensland. My research appointments have covered the fields of organic chemistry, biological chemistry and drug discovery. I returned to New Zealand in 2022.
I offer tutoring in chemistry (high school and university) and statistics (high school only).

Tutoring Approach:
Typically, a tutorial session involves a recap of the relevant theory, followed by the guided solving of example problems. I usually create practice questions based on our session, which are to be answered in your own time to solidify the material in the lesson.
My approach is flexible and can be adapted to the needs of the client.
