Personal Description:
Hey, I am currently doing my PhD in Food and Sensory Science from Auckland University of Technology. I graduated with a Bachelor of Food Science (First Class Honours) from AUT in 2019. Being in a science background I can teach subjects like biology, maths, physics, and chemistry. I believe in explaining the concepts and I value the importance of creative and quality teaching.
Tutoring Experience:
I am an experienced tutor with the wide subject and assessment knowledge across CIE, IB, and NCEA. I have been taking private tuition in Auckland for the past 6 years in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics for Year 9- year 13. I also teach some Level 7 tertiary papers which have a background in food chemistry and food science.
Tutoring Approach:
I am very friendly and easily approachable with students. I believe that students should understand the concepts and should simplify them in their own language in exams. Work through a lot of examples and relate every concept or topic with the practical situations in your daily life. I am a very open person and I can adapt to the individual's learning techniques and needs.
I will tutor one on one so that students can be comfortable in asking their doubts and questions. Tutor sessions will be well planned in advance with students to discuss how to approach the respective subject that they need help with.
