Information About Dale - Waitakere tutor

Personal Description:

G'day, my name is Dale. I'm a native speaking English teacher, journalist and tour guide. I've lived in Auckland for 12 years, before that i grew up and lived in the UK and Asia. I love teaching students of all ages, and enjoy improving English through good conversation, speaking and listening. I've traveled the world extensively so am pretty good at getting along with people from any country. I'm a pretty fun guy, I live with my amazing partner Kate and our three children in West Auckland.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught in both Asia and here in New Zealand. I've just recently taught New Zealand Certificates in English Languages (NZCEL) to levels 3 and 4 students. All my students passed. I have also this year been teaching conversational English to students ranging in ages 13 through to 50 plus. My English speaking, writing, listening and grammar skills are of a high standard having been a trained and experienced writer and **Contact Detail Removed**vision journalist for many years.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to push my students to be the best they can be. We start slow and identify where there needs to be improvement and then work hard to improve. We have fun but are mindful of achieving our goals, whether they be to pass qualifications or simply improve every day English. We won't always be using text books, we'll discuss daily life, and local and world events. We'll be learning practical New Zealand English as well to use in every day life.
