Personal Description:
I am a bilingual Mandarin and English speaker with over 15 years of teaching experience in both New Zealand and China.
Tutoring Experience:
Currently, I work as an ESOL teaching assistant at a local primary school on Auckland's North Shore, where I support Year 1–6 students with English language learning. I also teach Mandarin to students of all ages in private and community settings.
I specialise in helping second-generation Chinese learners build confidence in speaking, reading and writing, and I am experienced with IB and Cambridge IGCSE Chinese curriculum. I also offer Mandarin lessons to adult learners who are interested in conversational or business Chinese.
Tutoring Approach:
My teaching style is patient, engaging and tailored to each learner’s level and goals. I am passionate about creating a positive, encouraging environment where students can enjoy learning and see real progress.
