I contacted Rachel as a third level student to help me examine my summer assessment grades for my essay assignments and to explore how I could have done better. We dissected an essay of mine in which I felt I could have got a better grade. Rachel took me through the stages of formal essay structure, correct ways of introducing critical analysis and reflective analysis and the importance of format. We also explored appropriate language style needed in formal academic writing. I feel confident now in my ability going forward as a good academic writer during my masters.
