Personal Description:
Hi, I'm Yasir. I am a student at the University of Waterloo. I intend to double major in Philosophy and Physics. I come from Mauritius. I aspire to become a great intellectual someday.
I read books often. I watch Dexter on Netflix. I play soccer and table-tennis. I speak English, French and Mauritian Creole ( I know some Arabic too).
Tutoring Experience:
Officially: I was high school teacher for 2 months in Mauritius - I was teaching Physics to Grade 7 to 12 students.
I was also a tutor for Chemistry Lab in 2017. I was giving tuition 8 hours a week, for around 40 weeks.
Informally: I have been coaching (individually) a lot of peers from my high school (for free).
Tutoring Approach:
It's really up to you. I will tailor-make my style to suit your needs and aspirations. And I like to experiment with teaching and try new stuff.
Otherwise, when I learn stuff, I always try to understand the underlying concepts. I need to understand the logic. I also like to work out questions to better grasp the stuff.
