Information About William
This is how 2 referees rated William:
My specialization is helping social science students get the statistics credits that they need to graduate. I have tutored students in statistics on and off for eight years. I have expertise in SPSS, VBA/Microsoft Office, and a solid introductory grasp of Python. I have worked as a consultant in data science/statistics for leading Canadian organizations such as the Canadian Cancer Society. I am currently building a company in the data/research industry.
Additionally, I have worked as a teaching assistant in first and second year University classes. I have also worked as an English Teacher in South Korea for one year, and I still tutor kids and adults in ESL in my spare time.
Literature and travel are among my greatest passions.

The reality is that practice makes perfect. If you want to understand something, spend time with it, get some experience with it. For better or worse this means that drills and rehearsals are necessary to success. It's very rare that we encounter a "new" problem. It's more common that we encounter a particular TYPE of problem, framed a particular way.
We run into the same problems again and again in school, in work, and on exams to meet admission requirements and receive credentials.
Practice is the great equalizer that will allow students to triumph over such tricky problems with consistency.
Practice is the thing that will allow students to triumph over anything that the real world can throw at them.
My approach is based on helping students work their way through problem sets, and keeping things fast-paced and interesting.
For online/remote tutoring I charge $20/hour for as many hours at a time that you choose. There will be no in person sessions until the pandemic is over and done with.
