Personal Description:

I have been teaching and tutoring for over 18 years. After spending much of my career in the elementary classroom, I felt it was time for a change. My focus is now secondary math. I am super passionate about the subject and have experience tutoring students in math from grades 6 through to grade 12, including Data Management, Advanced Functions, and Calculus. I am patient and caring, and want nothing more than to see my students succeed and overcome challenges.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that building a rapport with my students is of paramount importance. My students need to trust me in order for me to expect them to take risks in their learning. I am very patient and accommodating. Eighteen plus years teaching in a classroom setting, in addition to tutoring students along the way, has taught me that each individual student requires a unique approach, and that an educator/tutor must be willing to listen, learn and respond on an individual basis. Patience, listening, and trust is absolutely key! And learning can be so much fun!
