Personal Description:

I am a former teacher with many years of experience working with students of all ages. I have worked as a math tutor in both elementary and middle school contexts. I love to see students succeed, and I particularly love working with students who are struggling in class. I love to teach math because of how it helps students move from concrete concepts to abstract ideas. Math is also wonderful for real-world connections, and I enjoy helping students broaden their understanding of this topic.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a bachelor's degree in Applied Arts and Sciences and hold a Master of Educational Leadership degree. I also have a certification in Special Education (Early Childhood-12th grade), a General Education certification, and a Principal certification.

Tutoring Approach:

I start my time with a student by evaluating their abilities and needs. My math tutoring philosophy is based on praising students for both good work and good effort.
