Personal Description:

I am a second year Accounting Student at Ryerson University. I have taken many math courses including Academic math in high school, Grade grade 12 data management, and grade12 Calculus. Whilst in university I have taken Business math and 2 french courses. I currently own my own small business during my free time and I am a very dedicated worker. I have also worked at camps throughout summers where I was a lifeguard and swim instructor. I really enjoy working with students and seeing their success. Below I have highlighted some of my skills.

• Utilized communication and positive reinforcement skills in all when giving feedback and collaborating with a team
• Established initiative by starting and creating my own business
• Strengthened critical thinking skills as a Finance Lead on Ryerson Formula Racing by preparing and giving a business presentation

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a math tutor since 2016 and I am able to tutor on average 5 students a semester so that I can am able to give my full attention to those I work with. I have worked with many different grade levels and have helped student come from failing to passing math courses with amazing grades. I have mostly worked with grade 9-12 students where I was able to provide extra practice, one on one instruction and prepare practice tests before an exam or evaluation.

Tutoring Approach:

I feel that tutoring is a chance for students to have the opportunity to ask the questions they might not have while they were in class. My approach to tutoring is the more mistakes you make with me the less you'll make in the future. I believe that practicing and hard work always pays off no matter what level a student starts at. I am very goal driven so I will do anything to help a student succeed.
