Personal Description:

In addition to being an experienced educator, I have also traveled the world extensively, from Europe to the Middle East to Africa to the Caribbean. I find that these two aspects of my background, both teaching and directly experiencing world cultures, are immensely helpful to me as a history tutor. I like to work with students in high school as well as college, tutoring history, including subject areas like African History and African American History.

Tutoring Experience:

I received my bachelor's degree in Urban Politics, and I also have a master's degree in Secondary Education. I am a world traveler who is certified to teach grades seven through twelve, and I have more than fifteen years of experience as a teacher.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in the importance of teaching not only the course material, but also the skills that students will need to succeed in their history courses and in their future academic and professional endeavors.
