Personal Description:

I have a Bachelors of Technology with a major in Computer Science and Technology from IIT Guwahati (India). From an early age I was passionate about mathematics and problem solving. I am highly interested in computer science, math and physics and enjoy spreading knowledge of these subjects to others. I also have practical knowledge of programming languages namely C, C++, Python and Javascript. I have an easy going attitude and love to empower others with knowledge that is useful for life.

Tutoring Experience:

During my undergraduate, I have taught IIT-JEE(one of the toughest exam in the world for pre-university) level math to a group of 10-15 students for around two years at a tutoring center near my university. I enjoyed it thoroughly and received highly positive feedback from the students. The tasks involved in the two year stint were:

- Preparing lesson plans or learning modules for tutoring sessions according to students' needs and goals.
- Providing feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students.
- Providing private instruction to individual or small groups of students to improve academic performance, improve occupational skills, or preparing for academic or occupational tests.
- Assess students' progress throughout tutoring sessions.
- Research or recommend textbooks, software, equipment, or other learning materials to complement tutoring.
- Review class material with students by discussing text, working solutions to problems, or reviewing worksheets or other assignments.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in the saying: "A good teacher must be able to put himself in the place of those who find learning hard."

I like to emphasize on teaching the fundamentals with utmost clarity before jumping on to more abstract concepts. I rely on feedback from students to make sure they understand the subject. I also like to add a mix of fun to my teaching to keep the students engaged. As a recent grad, I am still a child at heart and try to connect with students at a more personal level to make sure they follow along. Students have given feedback on how I break down complex topics into byte-sized pieces which can be easily understood.
