Personal Description:

If you're looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable chemistry tutor, look no further. I'm a high school chemistry teacher who's comfortable teaching anything from middle school science concepts to college chemistry. I have a real passion for teaching science and I love to help students find the ways that science affects daily life.

Tutoring Experience:

As a college student, I earned my bachelor's degree in general biology. I then went on to earn my master's degree in secondary science education - a qualification that makes me especially effective as a chemistry tutor.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to work with a student to figure out the best route to take, and I'm a big believer in trying different ways to explain tricky concepts. For example, if a student struggles with a straightforward approach, I'll follow up with a discussion to identify a familiar concept that may be similar and how they prepared for that type of question.
