Trevor grew up in the Alberta prairies where he developed a love of art and the natural world around him. After graduating hight school he went on to study video and sound at OCADU in additon to completing an experiential outdoor education program at Queen’s University in Kingston. He currently lives in Toronto having returned from a two part visit of six years in South Korea. He received BFA in video and sound art, A TESOL certification, and his BEd. Trevor is certified to teach in Ontario and B.C. He has taught ESL, Science, language arts, and music to grades 1- 8 in Korea, the Ontario primary and junior curriculum on a native reserve in north Ontario, and art, drama, and design at an offshore B.C. high school in 2016. He has also worked for Toronto Parks as a one-to-one assistant for children with special needs, the PINE project at an overnight outdoor adventure camp, the High Park Nature Center, the Regent Park School of Music, and most memorably for Parks Canada as a Viking. Trevor currently teaches in the Niagara Catholic District School Board.
Trevor enjoys finding ways to help students discover their own hidden talents and abilities. He especially enjoys helping students discover and share their artistic abilities. Trevor’s passion and energy are evident in his exchanges with his students. He strives to make learning an enjoyable experience by helping each of his students discover their true talents. In his free time Trevor enjoys travelling and drawing. He rides his bike along Lake Ontario daily In addition to his passion for the outdoor Trevor loves to play guitar, act and sing.
