Personal Description:

With my education and background, I feel comfortable tutoring a range of topics and subject matter areas, from ISEE prep, to high school and college English, to working with students who face challenges that are common for many ESL/ELL learners. I also tutor math at several different learning levels, including pre-algebra, middle school math, and elementary math.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a bachelor's degree in Child Development and a master's in Elementary Education. I have over seven years of classroom experience, and have worked as a math coach. I am also experienced in teaching students for whom English is a second language.

Tutoring Approach:

Whether it is as a language tutor or as a math tutor, I bring an adaptive approach to my sessions. I always strive to find a method of tutoring that makes the most sense for the student, whether that means revisiting earlier misconceptions the student may have, or finding fun ways to help the student grapple with challenging concepts.
