Personal Description:

Hello! I am a student at UBC and have successfully completed courses in calculus, computer science, economics, writing research papers, and psychology. I can tutor a variety of highschool subjects - namely English, mathematics, sciences, business, I.T… and law. Also, I am experienced in the programming languages Python, Drracket, HTML, CSS, Scratch, and additionally, I have proficient technical literacy as I am trained in using Microsoft Office applications.

Tutoring Experience:

I have instilled resilience and inspiration within those I have worked with, changing their attitude towards failure and creating motivation. I recently taught students programming languages, inspiring them to pursue their passions in computer science. I have 3+ years of experience tutoring both students my age and younger, and have built a great rapport with everyone I’ve worked with.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe success is created through one’s outlook and studying habits. Amid the constant downpour of negativity and setbacks that all students will face, I will train students and provide methods to see the world through positive eyes, enabling them to smile in the face of adversity. As a university student, I have tested and developed strategies to do well, and will apply them to my work. I plan to create an organized layout of the subject then dissect its concepts and details, which allows me to come up with a step-by-step tutorial to further the student’s understanding. Through using visual aids and practical examples, I will guide students through practice problems and previous test questions while providing extra to solve themselves.
