Personal Description:

I'm a math tutor currently seeking an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Game Development. I love science and math, and I feel that learning works best in a collaborative environment where students feel comfortable asking the questions they need to so they can tie what they are studying to the real world.

Tutoring Experience:

I've scored highly on the ACT, earning a 35 on the Math section. I've also taken Algebra through the 4th level, and I'm comfortable helping students in math courses up to and including college algebra. I can also assist students in discrete math and programming languages like C++ and Python.

Tutoring Approach:

When I tutor students, I like to let them make mistakes so that we can discuss them and they can learn from them, filling gaps in their knowledge. I work with students through problems and discuss what I'm doing step by step so they can better understand them. I also draw parallels with real-world interests to keep students engaged.
