Tutoring Experience:

I have over 7 years of experience teaching English as a foreign language. I also have a master's degree in English literature from UBC.

IELTS and ESL Experience:
I have over seven years of experience teaching English as a foreign language. I've worked in Japan and Russia and I've worked for large corporations, like Pfizer, Deutschebank, Exxon Mobil and Kia. I can help people improve their general English or prepare people for exams, like IELTS. I'm very familiar with ALL elements of the IELTS exam and I've helped many people get the best scores possible because I know this test incredibly well!

University English Experience:
If you need tutoring help with high school or university English, I'm also highly capable. I recently completed my master's degree in English literature at UBC in April, 2020. I worked part-time at UBC as a teaching assistant for ENGL 110. I can help you analyze literature, improve your writing skills and edit your written work.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a student-centered approach to teaching. I work with a student to understand their current level and develop goals. Then I develop an individualized plan to help us achieve those goals. I can work with people of all ages in different life situations, whether that be as beginners to the English language, someone preparing for exams or someone who needs English for their work/business.
