Hello, my name is Stephanie . I currently work as a personal trainer and exercise specialist. I have obtained my chemical and bioscience diploma, my BA in political science with a minor in chemistry, and currently in my last semester completing my BA in advanced psychology. I am also certified as a personal trainer, and I am completing my exercise and sports nutrition diploma, and my functional movement training with kinesiology taping certification. I currently volunteer with Klinic as a crisis counsellor, and will be a mentor for CFS. I am a huge science , and love teaching people about the human body, chemistry, biology, and physics. I am an avid writer, with multiple essays completed throughout my higher education career. I am most passionate about psychology, and learning how the brain functions and how the brain processes information. In my spare time I love going to the gym, I also officiate football and lacrosse, and have my respect in sport completed.
I have many years of experience with tutoring my friends and family members. I also teach clients on a regular basis on how to perform exercises, and explore how they can change their diet to lose weight, and gain a healthier body. I also was a trainer for my previous work place, where I handled training new employees. I did this for 4 years. I also was a lacrosse official mentor, where I mentored new lacrosse officials on the floor in order to develop game management, analyzing situations and applying concepts from the rule book, and how to conduct themselves as an official.
My approach to tutoring is that I want to be able to create a student that no longer requires help. I want to instil great study skills that will serve the student well in their academic career. I want to be able to teach skills such as: organization, task initiation, focus and time management.
