Personal Description:

Hi, my name is Stephanie and have been tutoring since college. I am a biology tutor who can help you in a variety of topics in your high school, AP, or college course. I love sharing knowledge and have learned from my students over time how to become a better tutor.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned a bachelor's degree in biomedical science and am currently studying dental medicine. I've learned to address concepts in ways that work best for each individual student. Helping them relate to the subject matter is useful when explaining material.

Tutoring Approach:

Being an independent learner is essential, so I demonstrate study strategies that suit a student's way of learning. I highlight improvements to motivate them and incorporate their interests into a lesson if they have difficulty learning a skill or concept. I also recognize what they get right and encourage them to ask questions, making our sessions both interactive and engaging.
