Personal Description:

Hi! My name is Spreeha. I am a Ph.D. student in economics at the University of British Columbia. Before that, I did a master's degree in Economics at the University of Warwick. I am from India and have been in Vancouver for four years.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a teaching assistant for over 5 years now. I have extensively taught courses in statistics, econometrics and microeconomics. I also have great teaching evaluations from all my students. Apart from teaching in a university setting, I also have years of experience teaching younger children in backward villages in India through volunteer work for an NGO.

Tutoring Approach:

I always try and get a sense of how comfortable the student is with the material and then build up from there -- even if it involves teaching some less advanced material. I always try to go at a pace that ensures the student can truly absorb the material.
