Tutoring Experience:

I am currently a fourth year statistic student. I the past, I have successfully turn a C- student into an A+ student in 2 month.

I Have a passion for teaching and helping students grasp the fundamental concepts of any subject. I understand each student's weekness and ensure individual's tutoring plan is adjust accordingly based on their strength and weekness.

Mathematics is a difficult subject because concepts build on top of each other. Solving an equation in grade 11 relies on the understanding of grade 9 and 10 concepts. Therefore, when a student falls behind, it could have amplified effects over the years. That is why when solving a question, it is crucial to teach them the fundamentals of that question, the theories and concepts behind it. When I tutored in the past, I have kept these ideas in mind to achieve high success rates among my student.

I think each person has the ability to do well but needs to understand the system and structure in order to be successful.

I would describe me as a responsible and easygoing person. I feel reward when my students make progress and eventually achieve their success.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is focused on one thing: effective communication. Math can be very difficult and extremely tricky which often intimidates students and drifts them away from math courses. It is extremely important that when a student is learning math they have a proper teacher who can explain these concepts in an easy and understandable fashion. The teacher need to be able to build a relationship with their student, make them feel relaxed and create an environment which promotes and stimulates intellectual thought.students struggle with certain subject areas because they are forced to learn in a manner that is inefficient to their learning style. My past experience in tutoring allow me to identify my client's strengths and problem areas, and cater my instruction accordingly.

Not only can I communicate and explain even the most difficult math concepts, but I can bestow confidence within my students, giving them the tools they need to excel in mathematics throughout the course of their educational career. My students always leave with three things: higher grades, higher confidence within themselves, and a new friend!
