Personal Description:

By day I work for a large international engineering consulting company and specialize in water engineering. However, I am also a chemistry tutor. I am a strong believer that people cannot learn through one cookie-cutter method. There are multiple learning methods, and I use the method that each student responds to the best.

Tutoring Experience:

I have earned my bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. My ACT Science score was 34, and my ACT Composite score was 32. Since graduating, and even while I was still in college, I saw a serious lack of understanding of sciences, which inspired me to become a biology tutor.

Tutoring Approach:

I take an engaging approach to tutoring. I believe that learning occurs when a student enters into a conversation with the teacher. If you just talk at a student, they tend to tune out and miss important nuances of the content. However, if you actively engage students in a conversation about the material, information is retained much better.
