Personal Description:

I am committed to providing my students with a quality education. I have experience as a math tutor and as a leader and have worked with a volunteer program for the past few years. Of the set of 25 fourth-grade students I tutored in math, 75% of them increased their course grades by 5 to 10 percentage points.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology and now work as a Site Operations and Finance Associate with an education-based nonprofit. I have experience tutoring students in various math topics like pre-algebra through Algebra 2. I also help students prepare for the Math or Quantitative sections of standardized exams like the ACT and SAT.

Tutoring Approach:

Since I believe every student learns in their own way, I strive to provide tutoring services targeted towards their individual learning styles. It's important for me to quickly build a rapport with the students I am a math tutor for so they feel comfortable guiding me through their thought processes and allowing me to correct their approach when needed.
