Personal Description:

Hello! My name is Shane , and my goal is to help people understand Mathematics at ALL levels. I have a passion for helping people relate to math and not view it as a scary subject. I also love to connect with people and find joy from meeting/teaching people.

I have studied Mathematics in University as I have a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Mathematics. I have also completed a Bachelor of Education to gain experience teaching elementary and secondary age groups.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored through an agency (TutorDoctor), freelance, and with friends/family members.

I have taught two classes during my Practicum. Math 8 and Entrepreneurship & Marketing 10.

I have done a Bachelor of Education where I gained tons of Teaching Experiences throughout a 10 month period.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to approach math based on what the students goal is.
- If they are looking to Pass the course then I will do whatever it takes for them to get through.
- If they are looking to gain a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and want to broaden their view, then I can adapt to that style of teaching.
- If a student is looking to achieve a high grade in a course I can tailor my teaching towards a deeper learning of the concepts.

I am always adapting to the student and their needs and want to help the achieve their goals.
