Personal Description:

My success as an English tutor is based on my ability to identify the root cause of the struggles and needs of each student. I also strive to instill in them the ability to learn on their own by giving them the tools they need to do so. By teaching them to problem-solve effectively, my lessons will benefit them far into the future.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in Sociology. From there I went on to earn my master's degree in Bilingual Elementary Education. I have more than 10 years of experience teaching in public and charter schools as well as tutoring in centers. As an English tutor, I've worked with students on subjects from phonics to essay writing and more.

Tutoring Approach:

My job as an English tutor is to help my students realize that they are talented and to guide them to connect what they already know with what they are learning. I also guide them in how to teach themselves what they want to learn next. The first thing I do with each student is listen to what they feel they need from me.
