Personal Description:

Hi,

I am a British tutor with over 5000 hours experience tutoring Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I have tutored at across the Secondary and Undergraduate levels. I have a track record of success, which includes helping students make their grades a few weeks before their exams. I also work with students on a longer term basis, developing their interest of the subject, exploring material outside of their curriculum (which can often be quite limiting). My past students have gone on to top colleges and Universities in the UK.

I am a British tutor based in London. I am looking to broaden my tutoring base and reach new student by seeing them online. As I am based in the GMT timezone, I am five hours ahead and I can see students in Toronto right after school finishes or even earlier during the day.

As I am based in London, I would offer two methods of tutoring my pupils: online or residential. For online tutoring, I use an online whiteboard, video calling software with built in screen sharing, headphones to enhance the audio quality and a tablet to write and draw. I have the fastest internet connection available in the UK, so I am sure we will not suffer. For residential tuition, please get in touch to discuss your needs.

Tutoring Experience:

I estimate I have at least 5000 hours of experience. I have worked full time as a tutor since 2012 and have around 6 years of experience. I have conducted face to face tutorials as well as online tutorials. Every year I take on last minute students in April and May and tutor them intensively.

My experience for the IB syllabus is approximately 1500 hours spread across Maths and Physics. I have taught traditional students in schools in the UK, so those covering A Levels, GCSE/IGCSE, IB, Pre-U. I have also taught people not at school, such as University students and students taking prep courses for University, as well as those taking vocational qualifications.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to use practical examples as I am a practical thinker. I use lots of examples from sports, or weight lifting as I enjoy these. I am an experienced martial artist and a I frequently go to the gym, so I tend to work in examples from these topics into my tutorials. Also, I am a retired gamer so I tend to talk about games like call of duty and fallout a lot. For those of my students who are worthy, I will enlighten them about the older games, like age of empires.
