Personal Description:

I am originally from India and I am 24 years old, male, residing in Vancouver. I am currently a PhD student in Medical Physics at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. My PhD research includes developing artificial intelligence algorithms for medical image analyses for PET/CT images of cancer patients. I have an excellent command over conversational and written English.

Tutoring Experience:

During my MSc Physics (Sep 2018-Aug 2020) and PhD Medical Physics (Sep 2020 - Present) at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, I have been a Teaching Assistant for undergraduate students for courses like Introductory Physics, Energy & Waves, Electricity & Magnetism, and Optics. Coming from a theoretical and experimental Physics background, I consider myself having a good aptitude for high-school and college-level Physics and Mathematics. As a result, I would be interested in tutoring for all basic and advanced Physics and Mathematics courses.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is multidimensional as I believe that each student is unique and has very unique needs. As a result, my approach is usually different with different students when it comes to tutoring. For example: some students like to learn things visually, in which case I make them imagine the concept in their heads before actually getting into solving equations. On the other hand, some students are more at ease with the abstraction of equations, in which case I first make them see through the problems mathematically and make them see the connection of the solutions to intuitive real world problems,
