Personal Description:

I come from a family of teachers, so I suppose that it's no surprise that I developed a passion for helping people achieve their educational goals myself. I am comfortable teaching all ages from first-grade reading to college-level material. I'm a great tutor because I'm attentive to my student's needs and guide them to the information they need.

Tutoring Experience:

I began substitute teaching in the 1990s and soon transitioned into tutoring for a private company dedicated to helping students with special needs. I also picked up some tutoring jobs as a private contractor, ultimately working with students on the autistic spectrum as well as those learning English as a second language. I believe that all of this experience prepares me to work with students from various backgrounds.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that most students know more than they realize they do. My job as an English tutor is not only to teach new things but to show them how much they already know. That can be a big confidence booster!
