Personal Description:

My teaching philosophy revolves around putting the student's needs first. I pay special attention to my pupil's academic strengths and weaknesses during our first meeting. I look at strengths because I can use those to reinforce a student's wavering self-confidence in the face of a learning obstacle. I look at weaknesses so that I can design study plans specifically to address them. I am comfortable tutoring Portuguese and Spanish, and I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Tutoring Experience:

I earned a bachelor's degree with a dual major in Spanish and Government and a master's degree in International Educational Development. I also have years of experience as both a classroom teacher and a private tutor.

Tutoring Approach:

Everybody learns differently, and it is my job as a Portuguese tutor to connect students to content in clear, engaging, and specific ways. I also help my students set attainable goals that can motivate them when things get tough.
