Personal Description:

Hello!
My name is Sarah and I am currently in Teachers College at Brock University.
I enjoy camping, hiking, canoeing, crafting, decorating, and I love dogs!

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored for over a year and have experience with grades 6-12. Most of my experience is with math and science but I have tutored history, French, English, and physics as well.
I have a Bachelor of Science from Western University with an Honors Specialization in Biology.
I am currently in my first year of Teachers College. I am taking science and biology as teachable subjects for the intermediate-senior category (grades 7-12).
I have recently completed a 2-week in-class placement at a high school in Burlington.

Tutoring Approach:

I can be the most effective when students are able to identify which specific questions and subject area they struggle with. Students will see the greatest improvement when they make an effort to attempt their homework and assignments on their own first; however, I am happy to simply provide homework help if that's what the student needs. If the time allows, I like to begin by helping the student build organizational skills before working through subject content.
