Personal Description:

Hello, and thank you for considering me to tutor you or your child. I feel it is a great honour you can extend, allowing me to tutor you or your child. I am a experienced teacher who is certified with OCT. I have a diverse teaching background and implement various strategies ensure a student is understanding concepts. I can't wait to get started and help you to achieve your greatness.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching for 17 years. I started at an adult learning center and moved to an elementary setting. I have experience teaching adults who are writing their GED, high school who are preparing for post secondary school, grade 8 students transitioning to high school, and all the way to and including Kindergarten. I have a strong foundation and experience working in special education. I have specialist in Special Education, Geography, History, and Environmental Science.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe reviewing the lessons from the day to have a solid grasp of concepts taught is the way to keep up with school. Completing homework with support and a differentiation of instruction can assist a student to have a greater understanding of material from the class. I also believe success breeds success and self esteem. A confident student is more willing to take on new ideas and apply the learning in various ways.
