Personal Description:

I'm a former graduate student at University of Toronto who has 4 years of experience as a Teaching Assistant for 1st and 2nd year mathematics courses at the university. In addition, I also taught/tutored high school Mathematics courses.
I have also worked for 9 years in the field of Actuarial Science in Consulting and Insurance firms.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 4 years of experience as a Teaching Assistant at University of Toronto for 1st and 2nd Year Mathematics courses ( Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra).

I have also taught high school mathematics ( MCB4U and MDM4U) at New Oriental International College in Toronto.
In addition, I have extensive experience in private tutoring as well as tutoring for other math help centres.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching style is very flexible as I have had students who differ in their level, learning styles, and interest in mathematics. I will tailor my approach to each individual student focussing on what they want to get out of the tutoring session. In math, there is usually multiple ways of explaining a problem and I am well equipped with the ability to teach the same solutions in different ways. I am patient and will go the extra mile to make sure the student comes out of the session with a better understanding of the concepts than before.
