Information About Sadia
Markham tutorPersonal Description:
Hello there!
My name is Sadia and I am 18 years old. I graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA and will be a first year at the University of Toronto St. George this fall taking a double major in Physics and Mathematics. I enjoy working with numbers (and people!) and hope to get a PhD in Physics one day. I also hope to continue helping people understand math and physics throughout my years of study.
Tutoring Experience:
I completed all my community volunteer hours through tutoring math to a grade 7 student. It was interactive and she and I both enjoyed the experience.
Tutoring Approach:
I understand that math comes with difficulty and struggle, and I am perfectly ready to help students through that. I will give them my utmost patience and will help them understand topics instead of memorizing them. I believe memorizing does help students to some degree, however developing an understanding of why things are the way they are is much more valuable and will help them develop better logical thinking skills to become better in math in not just their current year, but in their years to come. Believe it or not, there IS logic to the absurdities of math! And I hope to help you understand them.
I expect some to struggle, and I welcome it fully. All I ask is for students to believe in themselves and do their best.
