Personal Description:

At heart, I am an educator. After graduating with my degree in Nuclear Engineering, I changed career paths to mentor young students though their challenges.

Tutoring Experience:

With more than six years of experience and over 40 students served, I am proud to have developed tutoring methodologies that have helped students succeed in their coursework and beyond. After earning my Bachelor’s of Science in Nuclear Engineering in 2013, I stepped away from an engineering career path after discovering my passion for helping people. I have always had a talent for absorbing information quickly and use that talent to pass on nearly any high school level course to students in a digestible manner.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is the same as my approach to science: experiment to find what works and build on it. I believe that teaching the hows and whys of a problem are just as important as the process. I want the student to understand how the process works, without any shortcuts. Through questions, exploration, and a little fun, students and I walk through the material finding the best ways to retain and apply information.
