Personal Description:

Hello, my name is Rishab and I'm a fourth year student studying Health Sciences in Biology at the University of Toronto. I have extensive knowledge on Mathematics and Sciences in particular and conveying those concepts in a simple manner for children to understand. I'm charismatic and have great communication skills to provide to both the parents and children. During the summer, I have returned to Vancouver and I'm offering in-home tutoring sessions throughout the week.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a total of 2 years of official tutoring experience. I started by tutoring high school courses (Math & Sciences) for one year and transitioned into tutoring Grades 1-7 for one year.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is quite simple, the first step is to make the student feel comfortable and assess their knowledge and thought process on the given subject. Furthermore, I tailor the learning material in a way that will best be suited for the child and constantly assess what they're understanding and what they're having trouble with. For homework, I usually provide the student with a few worksheets that will contain tough questions on the material they understand and simpler problems for the material they're still having trouble with. In the beginning of the session, I will assess what they have grasped from the previous tutoring session and start from there.
