Personal Description:

I am a 2nd year university student who is committed to teaching and inspiring success! I have a very good track record coming out of High School with Ontario Scholar certification.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience tutoring grade 2 and 3 math at the Advanced Learning Center through my religious community. Furthermore, I have worked at Kumon Math and Reading Center for over a year, where I worked with students ages 4-12 teaching both math and reading skills, administering tests, and ensuring that student's work was completed effectively and efficiently. Finally, I worked at Apostrophe Kids, where I worked one-on-one with an ESL student to enhance their reading, writing, and comprehension skills.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is to ensure that students always have a smile on their face when they are being taught by me. I believe that emotional wellbeing plays a large role in learning, and thus I want to ensure that students are encouraged to learn. My approach to tutoring also ensures that the student is never left without questions after a session. My job as a tutor is to make sure that students seek clarification, and that is my goal as a tutor.
