Personal Description:

I am an English tutor with a love for education and I enjoy teaching students how to work through difficult concepts. I am patient, hard-working, and dedicated to helping students. My belief is that students learn and process information differently. Therefore, my goal is to assist them in discovering what works best for their needs.

Tutoring Experience:

As an English tutor, I have had experience with teaching students of all ages from elementary school writing to college-level American Literature. In the past, I worked as an assistant teacher for a kindergarten ESL class. Presently, I am an undergraduate student and I am very interested in incorporating education into my major.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is to customize my teaching style to accommodate a student's needs. Having a good rapport with them helps me to determine how to best meet those needs. I use a gradual release technique which gives them the help and guidance they need to eventually become independent learners.
